#1 I am working on an Elac Miracord 625. After clean and lube and idler replacement it worked fine for a few days but now it will not move tone arm to the record. If the arm is placed on the record it will play and park after playing but not repeat the record. It will lift tone arm above the rest and then shut off on any speed or size.

#1 Went to my local record/thrift store today and scored an Elac 625 for the low price of free today! It has a cartridge with a stylus that doesn't look too bad and is cosmetically in good shape. The benjamin it is held in is in bad shape but whatever. Either way, the platter is almost totally stuck. Hard as a rock, doesn't spin freely at all.
